Fitness is important for our general hormone state such as testosterone and to regulate cortisol, the stress hormone.

Ageing will affect your muscle mass naturally as testosterone drops as we get older, the amount of muscle mass we can hang on to diminishes. We need to keep stimulating the body to keep muscle mass on, and make it a habit such that it eventually becomes a lifestyle.

For the most optimal use of your time, we can consider High Intensity Training (HIT). This is not just a cardiovascular exercise type (HIIT).

Famous body builders Dorian Yates and Mike Mentzer trained in this manner, particularly Yates has had a lot of success by focusing on high intensity training and not on long gym hours.

For normal people like us, we want to get it done as fast as we can with the best results possible. HIT provides an answer to this. We can go to the gym for 30-45 minutes for 2-3 times per week totaling 1.5 hours of gym time, finished!

It’s effective in both time and outcome.
